Purpose
The Inspire Idaho Temporary Emergency Housing Initiative connects aged out foster youth in the Inspire Idaho community with hosts who are willing to allow a young person to stay temporarily in a room in their home, an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) on their property, or RV/Trailer.
We help aged out youth bridge the gap between homelessness and semi-permanent housing by getting them situated in a safe location, as they work with their mentor to find a job, get a car (through our car program) and look for a more permanent dwelling. All hosts and locations are carefully vetted and we work hard to match young people and hosts.
To qualify for a temporary housing assignment, a young person must:
- Be a part of the Inspire Idaho community
- Be in an Inspire Idaho mentoring relationship
- Be actively working, pursuing work, and/or going to school
- Be willing to complete household tasks as assigned by host
Other requirements and restrictions apply. Please reach out for more information.
