Three-year goals2027 — 2029

Saturate.
Then replicate.

Two goals over three years. First, saturate locally: every accessible, referred foster youth in Ada and Canyon Counties who wants mentoring gets it.* Second, launch an Inspire Idaho chapter in a new region, built on what we learned from Goal #1.

Goal one

Saturate locally.

Every accessible, referred foster youth in Ada and Canyon Counties who wants mentoring gets it.*

TodayApproaching saturation capacity.
By 2029Maximize our infrastructure to saturate a population that grows by 5% per year.
RequiresA deepening referral pipeline, a growing mentor pool, and likely a second workshop track.
Goal two

Launch beyond local.

A second Inspire Idaho chapter, built on a proven model.

TodayThe model is documented and measured, with five years and 122 youth as evidence.
By 2029A second region selected, staff assigned, funding in progress.
RequiresA cash infusion for launch. A new site costs more to start than to sustain.

Two goals. One campaign. Saturating locally proves our model works and scales. Our new chapter will stand on eight years of learning, scaling, and refining.

*Includes youth whom Inspire Idaho can reasonably reach when operating at its strategic maximum.

Standing capacity, today

Current capacity is strong and growing.

Our infrastructure is already approaching saturation capacity, and we have a plan to reach our strategic maximum and saturate locally by 2029.

Current mentors vs. required for saturation in 2029
17 / 20
Of these 17 trained mentors, seven are available for a mentoring match. In addition to these 17, several new mentors are being trained.
Current workshop capacity vs. required for saturation
1 → 2
One workshop track accommodates 22 youth. Our attendance has increased steadily for five straight years. Today's coverage fits in one track. 2029 saturation will likely require a second.

Achieving local saturation.

How do we know what saturation looks like? We start with the number of foster youth we can reasonably reach when operating at our strategic maximum, and run that number through our refined conversion rates, which produces the impact funnel below.

The impact funnel

From initial referrals to mentoring pairs.

Mentoring matches last an average of 1.75 years, which is why a dozen new ones a year sustains about twenty running at once.

The first number in each stage is current. The second is our 2029 saturation projection.

Where our projected growth will come from

From ten mentoring pairs to twenty, in four moves.

Four new pairs will come as current demand meets current capacity. Six more will come from increasing our referral and conversion rates, which we are already doing.

The strategic challenge

Our biggest hurdle to meeting our saturation goal.

Mentors, workshop capacity and conversion rates are strong and growing. To reach local saturation, we must maximize the number of youth referred to us each year.

Current referrals vs. referrals required for saturation
40 → 62
We have great relationships with current gatekeepers, and a newly hired staff person is dedicated to increasing our referral rate. We are excited for this challenge and eager to reach our goal.
Goal twoChapter expansion

Preparing to launch beyond local.

Replicating beyond local won't begin in 2029. We will work toward it while we saturate locally — documenting and testing our process before repeating it in another region.

1Document our proven process.
2Refine our replication strategy.
3Choose a new location.
4Develop financial resources.
5Hire and train new staff as needed.
6Launch and support the new chapter.
Our ask

What we need to saturate and replicate.

These two big goals are reachable, but we cannot do it alone. We need financial partners who share our vision to change lives and transform generations by mentoring young people aging out of foster care to help them flourish as adults.

Resources required to meet these goals

$300k over three years.

These funds, over and above our current fundraising, will set us up to saturate locally and replicate beyond local.

New funds needed annually
$100k
Covers our annual, local operating base with growth and donor attrition, and allows us to begin saving for the new chapter.
One bite at a time
10 Investors × $10k × 3 years
The need is significant, but becomes manageable when we break it down. Ten generous givers who pledge $10k a year for three years meet this need.

Together, we can create lasting change in the lives of young people experiencing foster care. If you would like to talk more about how you can partner with us to make this vision a reality, contact John@inspireID.org.
